Apparently the Totem of Tiber Septim can be used to command a dwarven construct - Numidium
Skill Use
We all forgot a bit of detail. That Lysandis had another lover, Medora. Everyone succeeded on a Perception / Lore role.
Lady Brisienna Magnessen discusses the possibilities with us and does suggest that we track down Medora and learn what she knows.
So we decide to go back to Wayrest first so that we can collect our reward.
The group approaches Queen Barenziah, who is pleased at the news of our success. She grants us a ship and the use of any trainers.
While we're doing our training, Princess Elysana approaches Casts-No-Shadow. She wants a senior member of the elder council, Lord Castellian, to be eliminated. Casts agrees to the agreement and names the price of the Totem of Tiber Septum, or any information she can gather on its current whereabouts.
The rest of the group decides to wait for Casts-No-Shadows to return.
Challenge
First, Ride check to get to the place: Success -1 Health Second, Perception to scout the place: Success Third, Stealth to the study - Success (Advantage) Fourth, Security to get through the doors - Success, -3 theives tools Fifth, Illusion - Success, -1 Magicka Sixth, Alchemy to poison his glass, -1 Potion (to poison him).
Everything goes off without a hitch, Casts heads out of the castle and returns to Wayrest.
From this mission, he learns that the Totem of Tiber Septim has been stolen from Lord Woodborne by the Thieves guild.
We take the ship back to Daggerfall
Skill Use
Kihra pilots the boat with Sail
When we get there, we run into Arvel and hire him to pilot the boat.
Afterwards we use Cyndassa as our go-between to get Dowager Queen Mynisera where we hand over the letter so that she can understand what's in it.
She suspects that Gortwog Gro-Nagorm is the one who made a bunch of copies of the letter to potentially start a whole second war.
We also bring up Medora, which causes Mynisera a fair amount of angst - but she confirms that she did not have her killed. She may have gone back to the high elves, but she's unsure. She does know that the king has been looking for a bride, which she may or may not have anything to do with it.
We conversate for a bit, and the former queen has two thoughts:
So, naturally, we ask Abuk-i.
Skill Use
Terfir activates her dress and helps us lie to Abuk-i about Medora's whereabouts. Success!
Abuk-i gives us a letter of introduction to go talk to her brother which will help us get into the court at Sentinel.
We head to Sentinel on our new and shiny boat, piloted by Arvel (whom Kihra pays).
Skill Use
Kihra makes a perception check: Success!
As she's walking around the city she attracts a regular cat - whom she picks up and it wants her to follow it.
We find a house surrounded by cats. Inside the house is Rahana Hammuoni, whom we quickly learn is a worshipper of Nocturnal.
Terfir Lif finds a shrine to Nocturnal in the back, and says a prayer to her and is given 2 thieves tools as thanks (and a sense that she needs to take a remedial sneaking course).
She basically tells us that Nocturnal is giving us assistance and will help us break into 3 castles.
After meeting with Rahana Hammuoni, we head to the castle, and make it past the guard by presenting the letter of introduction.
Kihra had to ask a guard but eventually we're directed to Prince Lhotun. After a bit of stuttering, we give him the letter from Abuk-i and he asks why we're here. We tell him, and Lhotun says that we could be of help to each other and he's wanting to trade favors.
His older brother, Relan, died several years ago but Lhotun doesn't know the details because everyone produces a different story. He could have been kidnapped by the Underking.
Quest
Find proof of what happened to Relan.
He can't look into it too much by himself, because his parents were always watching and now since he's the next in line for the throne he doesn't want to undermine that if his suspicions be unwarranted. (or even if they are, he might be in danger).
After we agree to look into this, he directs us to the Deep Sands, a tavern.
